Communication Guidelines

To organize a TRAINING/EVENT ACTION (conference, workshop, classes, etc..) acknowledged by SoBigData.it so that it can be CORRECTLY REFUNDABLE, you need to STRICTLY COMPLY with the following RULES.

The action MUST HAVE an EXPLICIT REFERENCE to SoBigData.it and it must be explicit that the purpose of the events is to increase the visibility  and attract new users to the infrastructure.

  • ITA: “L’evento “<NOME EVENTO>” è stato organizzato nell’ambito delle iniziative del progetto SoBigData.it (Prot. IR0000013 – Avviso n. 3264 del 28/12/2021) volte alla formazione di nuovi utenti e comunità dell’infrastruttura di ricerca (SoBigData.eu).”.

As Example all in one disclaimer + acknowledgment:
The “<EVENT NAME>” event was organised as part of the SoBigData.it project (Prot. IR0000013 – Call n. 3264 of 12/28/2021) initiatives aimed at training new users and communities in the usage of the research infrastructure (SoBigData.eu). SoBigData.it receives funding from European Union – NextGenerationEU – National Recovery and Resilience Plan (Piano Nazionale di Ripresa e Resilienza, PNRR) – Project: “SoBigData.it – Strengthening the Italian RI for Social Mining and Big Data Analytics” – Prot. NOT ELEGIBLE EXAMPLE 1: You are organizing a workshop:

  • The workshop web page has the SoBigData.it logo and ack
  • There is nothing related to SoBigData in the programme.

This action CANNOT BE CONSIDERED as a SoBigData.it action.

ELEGIBLE EXAMPLE 2: You are organizing a workshop:

  • The workshop web page has the SoBigData.it logo and ack
  • The programme includes a presentation and/or a talk on some aspect of the SoBigData RI
  • and/or the SoBigData RI is used for the activities of the workshop.

This action CAN BE CONSIDERED as a SoBigData.it action.

BEFORE THE ACTION:

  • Add the SoBigData.it logo and acknowledgement in the event/action web page (see:https://pnrr.sobigdata.it/communication/)
  • Add  a disclaimer: “The event “<EVENT NAME>” was organised as part of the SoBigData.it project’s offerings aimed at training new users and communities of the research infrastructure (SoBigData.eu)”.

ACTION PROMOTION:

  • cite @SoBigData on your social channels to promote the event (see the list below)
  • send to communication@sobigdata.eu:
    • Title
    • Date and place
    • Short description
    • website

DURING THE ACTION:

  • take photos and send them to communication@sobigdata.eu
  • if you want to share your pictures and thoughts about and/or during the event via social media, tag SoBigData (see the list below) and possibly the SoBigData involved partners for repost.

FOR THE TRAINING ACTIONS

It is mandatory to discuss the realization of the Training action, explicitly reporting the following information in columns R to X of the shared spreadsheet where the training action was planned (for the link to the spreadsheet, send an email to communicationATsobigdata.eu):

  • Effective # Attendants: Report the number of attendant to the actions (column R);
  • % Female Attendants: Report the percentage of the female attendants (column S);
  • # Speakers: Report the number of speakers(column T);
  • # Female Speakers: Report the percentage of the female speakers (column U);
  • Parenting/Disabilities Support: Report if the action provides support for any kings of disabilities and or support for parents i.e., kindergarten or similars (column V);
  • Effective Dates: Report the effective dates on which the action was made (column W);
  • Report of the Training Action: Provides a summary that describes how the action was carried on, which topics were discussed, and any information of interest, for example, how many users applied or expressed interest in the research infrastructure (column X).

FOR GENERIC EVENTS

Report the request information in the “SoBigData.it Eventi | Talk | Press | Publications” spreadsheet (for the link, ask to communicationATsobigdata.eu)

  • EVENTS: NON training events organized by the project;
  • TALKS: Talks, presentations, etc. [at external events] where the project was presented (e.g. presentation of papers with ack SoBigData.it at a conference; talk in a dissemination event; …)
